About the Presenters

Michèle Hansen is an ATA-certified translator (F>E) specializing in medical, pharmaceutical and global health. She has taught F>E medical translation for the University of Chicago and NYU certificate programs, and serves as the Deputy Chair of Certification Committee.

Holly Mikkelson is an associate professor of translation and interpreting at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. She is a federally certified court interpreter and ATA-certified translator with four decades of professional experience in the field. She has taught classes and workshops all over the world and has written many articles and books on various aspects of interpreting. She is the author of the acclaimed Acebo training manuals for court and medical interpreters.
