About the Presenter
Maha El-Metwally is an Arabic conference interpreter and a qualified interpreter trainer. She is accredited by the United Nations and the European Institutions. Although she is based near Birmingham in the U.K., she offers her services worldwide, whether in person or remotely. She has interpreted in different settings for speakers and organizations, including heads of state and governments, at summits, at arbitrations, and for visiting delegations. She served on the Leadership Council of ATA’s Interpreters Division for two years. She is also the winner of ATA’s 2022 Innovation Award. She is associated with several universities in the U.K. and abroad, where she contributes to the curriculum and gives professionalization talks.
