Customizing Claude for Translation Projects

September 8 / 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

Learn how to customize Claude using Projects, Skills, and Agents to ensure terminology accuracy and streamline quality assurance through automation.

As a translator, you may have spent more time than you’d like testing AI tools—switching platforms, comparing outputs, and wondering which one can truly meet your needs. The endless search for the “right” solution can be both exhausting and distracting. Often, though, the issue isn’t the tool itself, but whether you’re fully leveraging its capabilities and tailoring it to your workflow.

When you set up Claude properly, that search can finally come to an end.

This hands-on workshop is your opportunity to master advanced strategies for configuring Claude using Projects, Skills, and Agents—so that style guide compliance, terminology accuracy, quality assurance (QA), and file formatting happen automatically and consistently.

Whether you work in legal, medical, financial, or technical translation, you’ll leave with a configured Claude workspace tailored to your clients and ready to deploy on your next project.

By attending this workshop, you will:

  1. Build client-specific projects that automatically enforce style guides and glossaries, ensuring Claude checks your translations against defined rules.
  2. Implement terminology-driven workflows to flag deviations, extract candidate terms, and maintain consistency.
  3. Deploy structured QA prompts that cover accuracy, fluency, consistency, completeness, and formatting.
  4. Create reusable skills that encode your quality standards once and activate them automatically across projects, eliminating repetitive re-prompting.
  5. Automate formatting, typographic rules, and file handling using Claude’s built-in DOCX, PDF, and Excel capabilities.
  6. Integrate Claude into your existing CAT tool workflow by using agents to manage files, terminology, and client communication from a single place.
