Freelancing as a Remote and Distant Interpreter: Over-the-Phone and Webcast Interpreting

Presenter Cristina Silva will share her experience in distance interpreting as she discusses the skills and training needed to perform remotely. The presentation will include advice from both project coordinators and over-the-phone interpreters.

About the Presenter

Cristina Silva started her career as a translator and interpreter in 1997, shortly after graduating from Kent State University with an MA in Translation. An ATA-certified English>Portuguese translator, she has worked as a translator, over-the-phone interpreter, simultaneous interpreter, court interpreter, voice-over talent, project manager, and translation instructor.

In addition to directing operations at ALLinPortuguese.com, she also teaches Portuguese Translation at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of New York University and Translation and Project Management at the University College of Denver University. Contact: info@allinportuguese.com
