The Ins and Outs of Machine Translation in Trados Studio

September 6, 2023 / 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

Ready to make machine translation work for you in Trados Studio?

Machine translation (MT) has been around for several years and computer-assisted translation tools like Trados Studio have evolved and adapted to integrate MT offerings. This is why it’s essential for users to clearly understand the MT features offered in their tools to make the most of them.

In this webinar, we’ll explore the MT engine included with Trados Studio, along with apps that provide access to other MT engines. Attendees will learn how to get application programming interface codes for popular MT engines. They will also learn how to access the new adaptive MT from Language Weaver to use with their own translation memories to get customized MT results.

You will learn how to:

  1. Use your own translation memories to customize MT results.
  2. Identify which settings are important to integrate MT into your workflow.
  3. Use MT in various ways in Trados Studio, including interactive translation and pre-translation.
  4. Use MT engines in Trados Studio, with clear step-by-step instructions.
