Dear ATA Members:
During its meeting on November 4, 2025, ATA’s Board of Directors approved increases in membership dues.
The new membership rates for 2026 are as follows:
- Associate/Active/Corresponding: $290 (an increase of $9)
- 2 Members in the Same Household: $515 (an increase of $16)
- Transitional: $145 (an increase of $4)
- Institutional: $350 (an increase of $11)
- Life: $150 (an increase of $4)
- Student and Corporate: No change
As a sound business practice, ATA regularly reviews its finances and adjusts its prices as necessary. The Board has a policy in place that was implemented to adjust dues based on normal inflation. ATA’s Membership Dues Adjustment Policy states: “The annual dues for all categories of membership, except Student members, shall be adjusted for inflation according to the Consumer Price Index as published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on March 31st of the year preceding the next ATA fiscal year, and rounded up to the next five (5) dollars.” This policy was approved by ATA’s Board of Directors in April 2015.
Inflation has resulted in higher expenses for all of us, including ATA, although we have kept this increase below the overall inflation rate. The extra income we generate through this modest increase will help ensure that our ongoing capital projects are funded from current income, rather than strategic reserves. As decided at the last Board meeting, any budget surplus from this dues increase will be used to replenish our strategic reserves. Additionally, we are taking steps to further reduce expenses.
We also plan to continue expanding our revenue-generating activities, especially in professional development and certification, to boost ATA’s income and ensure we can continue to provide excellent member benefits, including robust public relations, advocacy, and continuing education opportunities.
Rest assured, your Board is doing everything it can to ensure ATA has a sustainable financial future. Thank you for being an ATA member.
Sincerely,
ATA’s Board of Directors
